SPC STEM Student, Lionel Plaisance earned the opportunity to present his research as a concurrent session at the National Community College Cybersecurity Summit (3CS) in Louisiana this summer.  Lionel majors in Cybersecurity at SPC and is also an active member of the Tampa Bay Bridge to Baccalaureate Alliance (TB-B2B)  The alliance was created to encourage minority students in the Tampa Bay Area to successfully transfer into and graduate with bachelor’s degrees in STEM majors.  The program is grant funded by the Nation Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP). Pinellas School To Host 6th Annual STEM Expo

Saturday, Apr 27th, 2019 @ 9:00am USF St Petersburg 140 7th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 The sixth annual Pinellas County Schools STEM Expo will take place Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in the University Student Center, Building 200, on 6th Avenue South. The event will showcase engineering design projects by more than 4,600 students from 98 schools. The keynote speaker will be Chris Fischer, founder and expedition leader of the shark research organization OCEARCH. See the STEM Expo flyer.
