EXPLORE THE STARS AT SPC'S PLANETARIUM AND OBSERVATORY The St. Petersburg College Planetarium and Observatory are great places for all ages to explore the universe. The planetarium is a "star theater" with a 24-foot domed ceiling that can accurately simulate the night sky at any time or location on Earth.

The event will showcase engineering design projects by more than 4,600 students from 98 schools. RoboFest & the RoboParade Competition 2019 is a fabulous competition for STEM students. Robofest is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots that encourages students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and Computer Science. Students design, construct, and program the robots. Any robotics kits are allowed in the construction of robots. Robots can be programmed with any programming language. The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art (LRMA) at St. Petersburg College will hold Science Night at the Museum on Friday, October 19, from 5-7:00 p.m. The all-ages event is free and open to the public. Activities include interactive science shows at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. led by Mike Davis, Chair of the Natural Science department at St. Petersburg College, Tarpon Springs. Davis’s shows will feature exploding powder, dry ice bubbles, rainbow and glow in the dark solutions, smoke rings and whoosh bottle.
