Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful recruits volunteers to foster unity and strengthen community bonds through beautification and improvement efforts across Hillsborough County. Any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business or government entity can coordinate or participate. The event will showcase engineering design projects by more than 4,600 students from 98 schools. Find out moreThe Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) and its partners are debuting innovative connected vehicle technology in Tampa’s Downtown, and the benefits will change how we view roadway travel. A car or truck equipped with connected vehicle technology “talks” wirelessly to other vehicles, traffic signals, crosswalks and more. This wireless communication can help prevent crashes, keep traffic moving and even improve fuel efficiency. Robofest® is Lawrence Technological University’s international autonomous robotics program for students in 4th grade – 12th grade and college. Student teams design, construct and program their robots to act independently and compete for trophies in a variety of competitions. Robofest’s mission is to generate excitement among young people for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and Computer Science, develop creativity and problem-solving skills and prepare them to excel in higher education and technological careers.
