What is the Bridge to Baccalaureate Program?

The TB-B2B (Tampa Bay Bridge to the Baccalaureate) Program provides resources and support to our STEM students as they work to achieve their 4-year STEM degree. The program is grant funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP). Program offerings include:

  • Paid Research Opportunities
  • Paid Conferences
  • One-on-One Tutoring
  • STEM Focused Events & Activities
  • Individualized Transfer Advising
  • STEM Faculty Mentorship

Who is with the Bridge to the Baccalaureate Alliance?

St. Petersburg College (SPC)
Hillsborough Community College (HCC)
State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota (SCF)

All three colleges have established the Tampa Bay Bridge to the Baccalaureate (TB-B2B) Alliance through the National Science Foundation (NSF) & Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program.

How Do I Qualify?

  • If you are pursuing or beyond a 4-year STEM degree

  • Have earned 40 credits or less

  • Have a 2.0 GPA or higher and are in good academic standing

  • Are a US Citizen/Permanent Resident

  • Are an underrepresented minority
